I wrote some months ago that the “indignados” movement could have been the starting point for change, first in Europe and later in America. This hope is still alive, as the protests and demonstrations in Spain these last few days show. Riding the wave of the moment, people protest in Greece too. They are serious populations. And here in Italy? Nothing, as usual. Maybe the sicilian protest of some months ago could be seen as an example of the rising up of a sleeping population. We should remember the words of a very famous song from some years ago: “El pueblo unido jamás será vencido”! We are 99%!
